STARTUPONRISE is a collaborative platform where the best ideas meet the world and become a reality, and where entrepreneurs meet investors around the world to raise funds and technical support to create new markets, grow and create jobs.
STARTUPONRISE is a virtual tool that matches entrepreneurs and investors more efficiently. It uses geolocation mapping applications to allocate funds and mobilize teams, and has an online discussion forum or wiki.
STARTUPONRISE also (1)provides internally-generated ideas to entrepreneurs to develop, (2) financially supports new and existing projects and (3) facilitates deals for business partnerships.
Every year STARTUPONRISE launches a call for proposals on a specific challenge and the winning project earns $5000 CAD in prize.
